The journey of a lifetime

This page tells the story of our father/daughter journey together through life... so far. It's a tale of overcoming challenges, finding inspiration in unexpected places, and creating music that reflects our unique bond and experiences. Join us as we recount the moments that shaped Doghouse D+1.

Seeing the world through different eyes

What makes our "long strange trip" truly unique is Hope's journey. Born prematurely, weighing just one pound, six ounces, she was diagnosed with Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP). My job as a dad was to help her "see" the world through my eyes, a perspective that has profoundly influenced both our creative process and our shared outlook on life.

Our inspiring message to you

Through all of life's twists and turns, our bond and shared experiences have fueled our original music and content. We hope that after experiencing our "Long Strange Trip...", you'll take one message to heart, a message that T.J. has told Hope throughout her life: "The only thing you can't do is see".

"The only thing you can't do is see."
